An Offering From the Heart - Fibonacci

I offer this humble poetry for all the people who heartily helped the victims of the Typhoon Sendong... and to take the Fibonacci Challenge (for the second time)!

~***~
Hand
Need
Your help
Big or small
With love made so valuable
Offering your heart to feed the starving soul
We were raised and taught to help one another with intention so pure
All people that dwell in this earthy paradise have seen the fulfillment of life upon seeing their hearts engulfed with fervor
Helping might be meager but a treasure when human extended it with rapture
The one who stumble will be so grateful
Life has fulfill its goal
With your heart
Help someone
Sincere
Joyful
~***~

Everyday I am always trying to look for ways to incorporate 'life' into different forms of entries like short posts, short views, haiku, poems, Fibonacci and other short type of poetry to give us an inspiring blogging time after what our physical body felt and our naked eyes have seen and witnessed in the world around us.

Thank you to all of you who are always here, you inspired me and I am here to inspire you as well...

Doing Small Things With Great Love

I am happy to share to you 3 quotes that touched my heart from Mother Teresa:

“We cannot do great things on this Earth, only small things with great love.”

“It is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love that is put into them that matters.”

“Do not think that love in order to be genuine has to be extraordinary. What we need is to love without getting tired. Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.”

Tonight I want talk about generosity with you as I am so thankful for all the helped the typhoon victims received... People are hand in hand giving big and small things to support the families who lost almost everything.

Tonight I am happy that in unison, people have shown an act of kindness towards fellowmen who are in need with sincerity.

The Prayer

Typhoon Sendong hit Cagayan de Oro and nearby areas and cities... it just didn't damaged properties but killed many lives, I don't like mentioning the figure here.

I heard about this and watched the news, I sat in front of the television till the end holding back my tears.

Properties can be replaced, but those poor fellows, mostly women and children cannot be brought back again after Typhoon Sendong ceased their precious lives.

Tonight I want to sincerely to talk to You Father. I just want to see their bereaved families stay strong in the midst of that tragedy. No one expect it to happen, all of them are not ready to say goodbye. I want them to be healed with Your love and grace, I pray that the letting go will be much easier for them to go on with the rest of their lives. We live for all the good things and the bad... I pray that despite of that sorrowful chapter, they won't stop seeking the bright side of their lives... their loved ones' journey had ended for this earthy home, but their quest is not yet over. Strengthen them Father. Let them draw closer to you...

Please join me...

SB Blog Directory - Updated!

Here we go to the next pace. I will tell you one simple secret to make your blog alive base on my short blogging experience...

Make yourself belong. Wander around and mingle new faces. Establish relationship true leaving a track of your thoughts sincerely rather than leaving the link of your page. Your interest will attract them to do the same for you.

This is a special post for a blessed Sunday, so before going further I wish you a wonderful day ahead of you.

I am talking about a new concept here at SB Community. My main purpose as a 'reader' and 'follower' is that I want to keep track to all my friends who have contributed some thoughts about our entries here. To put things at ease, I want to build a directory (an alphabetical directory as planned).

Rest assured that all the members of this directory will see 'SB' presence at their blogs, if not everyday, at least in a week where I and my partner got the extra time mingling and meeting new blogger friends.

Visitors of the SB Community will also experience an ease of finding new blogs worth reading at the SB Blog Directory.

Feed Love with Trust

Feed love with trust and it will grow enduring.

What it takes to be happy? I know you will answer me various answers. People have different criteria about a happy life. A happy life consist of many things, but what are the basic ones?

People struggle everyday to at least provide their basic needs, but that won't be enough to make one happy. Shelter, food, clothing, even sex won't make us happy... As I've reviewed Maslow's hierarchy of needs, I will stop at love and belonging.

Love and belonging will make you see how beautiful the world is, it will bring colors to your life.

I won't focus on two couple ended up a fairy tale love story this time, I want to extend love on a wider concept. How many people around you? Did you belong to them or do you belong only to yourself?

Here comes trust. Trust makes love grow stronger. We are loving by nature, but how can we nurture that feeling? My answer, feed love with trust... and it will grow enduring.

You belong because you are loved and trusted. But one hurtful question, what it takes to win ones' trust? Is that too expensive only few can afford?

Can you let someone starve for trust even in his utmost best to win yours?

I was betrayed but once again I let myself healed by love. Trust? I am not that selfish not to give mine... I know one, two, three or even more people deserve it.

I Am Yours

After a day of work, I need to regain strength. Missing someone can really a hard thing to get back enough fuel for the body, I must say emotionally. But we are here to struggle, we are here to live as happily as we can be... it's possible.

Today I witnessed the abundance of life, I witnessed love yet I also witnessed hate that make me exhausted, and made me hungry for His words, for His promise.

This song says "I am the flower quickly fading..." Yes, I am, but who gives me the fertile earth, enough water and warm rays of the sun to make me bloom again the next rising sun?

Shortcomings? It's inevitable. Mistakes? We are humans. What's important, surrender and say "I am yours."

"I am yours Almighty Father." Everything will be in order with you!

The Book of Thanks

The book of thanks weighed a lot more heavier than several pieces of gold... how come kindness are forgotten by many when in fact they won't dig deep and spend life to possess it? And so as being grateful? One cannot be kind if he won't feel the appreciation deep inside himself, hence he won't be truly rich.

I had a conversation with my colleague, and I brought her up an important topic. We discussed about giving an expression of gratitude to the person who show benevolence to someone or to us.

The main issue, why other people are so numb to do not even feel the care? Is that the main reason they can't even utter 'thanks'?

I won't mention name, but this one don't. If you do not appreciate, if you do not feel anything, you will not be blessed. Kindness? You will eventually find the scarcity of it.

Life, it's about being grateful... life, it's about counting even the smallest thing you have right now, rejoice in it.

(Quotation I wrote above is inspired by a fiction story about the book of thanks that was sold a lot higher than several pieces of gold, it was during my high school days when I really loved reading the kind of stories and tales. It was purely fiction but I know the message was real.)

In Motion

A time to move on
Time to cherish life, go on
See, I'm in motion

My haiku are coming...

Well, anyway, I am thankful for my life everyday. Today I want to tell all of you that I am thankful to my 'ups' and 'downs'... well, as a friend said, that makes me human...

I am really excited to introduce this one, a friend who have seen strength after battles, defeats...

Yes, one must learn to keep in motion... idling prolongs the agony. I learned to smile... and I see myself happy deep inside... problems? Just tiny pieces of a big whole!

I Humbly Ask Him to Drive Me Home

Running low of gas?
Striding along lack of faith?
God paces behind you.

After responding and visiting my blogger friends' blogs, and while talking to the one precious to me, I spend my time listening to a song that made me teary and lift up my heart once again after the things that I had been through this time.

(I respect all my blogger friends about their faith and belief, this song I am going to share is not about religion, this is about faith, this is about one and the same God we all have.)

I asked myself, did I run low on my faith? Same question I asked last week, last day, or even last morning. I keep on asking (Mat. 7:7) because I want answer, an answer that will make some difference of the one I had before...

But if I want a difference today, right now, I am not patient enough then... I need time. I need more time, what sounds better, I already make a way to it.

I am not perfect and I was tailed with imperfections lately... but I don't want to drive myself in nowhere... so why should I not ask Him to drive for me in the most difficult times of my life? I know I will be home safe.

I was Tested

I was tested yesterday. I was asleep sound when Kuya Sander (the one I treated like my big brother) handed me a phone who thought I was still watching the movie from the bed. It was a phone call from my sister who was crying on the line. I wanted to understand her words in between her uncontrollable sobs, she was frightened as if someone chased her to death, and that was true.

It was my brother's wife who nearly hurt or in a worst extent, killed my sister who rushed to the bathroom to protect herself from the furious woman who gripped a knife running after her. (I don't want to sound biased so I have to keep this part short.)

It all started from a text message, how worst the outcome was? It was actually my sister fault for sending her a message trying to awaken her for her wrongs doings (about her lies and everything) yet I understand my sister as our entire family was involved already. Would you be on that woman side who abandoned her 4-month child? Who left her child in my sister's care?

I won't tolerate my sister when I know she was wrong... but I had rushed myself there and spoke against my brother and his wife because it was already my sister's life who was in danger.

That night, I got a sleepless one... I was not guilty, but I just did my part as a brother to my sister. All I know, 'Blood is thicker than water.'

I know it was a test of how strong I am... well, I just said the right thing after all. When it's about the life of a true innocent, I am just a fierce as they are to defend who deserve to win. I am sure, my sister remained the innocent, not the woman who hide on a thick mask of lies.

I just want to make it clear that I am trying to never hold anger or resentment towards my brother's wife. I guess, today and the next days to come, while pacing towards life, I am just more than prayerful for the better the silently cursing her... It sound bitter for me but I will admit I had done that before, but the feeling was more than worst.

Today, I am just surrendering everything to God...
