The Book of Thanks

The book of thanks weighed a lot more heavier than several pieces of gold... how come kindness are forgotten by many when in fact they won't dig deep and spend life to possess it? And so as being grateful? One cannot be kind if he won't feel the appreciation deep inside himself, hence he won't be truly rich.

I had a conversation with my colleague, and I brought her up an important topic. We discussed about giving an expression of gratitude to the person who show benevolence to someone or to us.

The main issue, why other people are so numb to do not even feel the care? Is that the main reason they can't even utter 'thanks'?

I won't mention name, but this one don't. If you do not appreciate, if you do not feel anything, you will not be blessed. Kindness? You will eventually find the scarcity of it.

Life, it's about being grateful... life, it's about counting even the smallest thing you have right now, rejoice in it.

(Quotation I wrote above is inspired by a fiction story about the book of thanks that was sold a lot higher than several pieces of gold, it was during my high school days when I really loved reading the kind of stories and tales. It was purely fiction but I know the message was real.)

In Motion

A time to move on
Time to cherish life, go on
See, I'm in motion

My haiku are coming...

Well, anyway, I am thankful for my life everyday. Today I want to tell all of you that I am thankful to my 'ups' and 'downs'... well, as a friend said, that makes me human...

I am really excited to introduce this one, a friend who have seen strength after battles, defeats...

Yes, one must learn to keep in motion... idling prolongs the agony. I learned to smile... and I see myself happy deep inside... problems? Just tiny pieces of a big whole!

I Humbly Ask Him to Drive Me Home

Running low of gas?
Striding along lack of faith?
God paces behind you.

After responding and visiting my blogger friends' blogs, and while talking to the one precious to me, I spend my time listening to a song that made me teary and lift up my heart once again after the things that I had been through this time.

(I respect all my blogger friends about their faith and belief, this song I am going to share is not about religion, this is about faith, this is about one and the same God we all have.)

I asked myself, did I run low on my faith? Same question I asked last week, last day, or even last morning. I keep on asking (Mat. 7:7) because I want answer, an answer that will make some difference of the one I had before...

But if I want a difference today, right now, I am not patient enough then... I need time. I need more time, what sounds better, I already make a way to it.

I am not perfect and I was tailed with imperfections lately... but I don't want to drive myself in nowhere... so why should I not ask Him to drive for me in the most difficult times of my life? I know I will be home safe.

I was Tested

I was tested yesterday. I was asleep sound when Kuya Sander (the one I treated like my big brother) handed me a phone who thought I was still watching the movie from the bed. It was a phone call from my sister who was crying on the line. I wanted to understand her words in between her uncontrollable sobs, she was frightened as if someone chased her to death, and that was true.

It was my brother's wife who nearly hurt or in a worst extent, killed my sister who rushed to the bathroom to protect herself from the furious woman who gripped a knife running after her. (I don't want to sound biased so I have to keep this part short.)

It all started from a text message, how worst the outcome was? It was actually my sister fault for sending her a message trying to awaken her for her wrongs doings (about her lies and everything) yet I understand my sister as our entire family was involved already. Would you be on that woman side who abandoned her 4-month child? Who left her child in my sister's care?

I won't tolerate my sister when I know she was wrong... but I had rushed myself there and spoke against my brother and his wife because it was already my sister's life who was in danger.

That night, I got a sleepless one... I was not guilty, but I just did my part as a brother to my sister. All I know, 'Blood is thicker than water.'

I know it was a test of how strong I am... well, I just said the right thing after all. When it's about the life of a true innocent, I am just a fierce as they are to defend who deserve to win. I am sure, my sister remained the innocent, not the woman who hide on a thick mask of lies.

I just want to make it clear that I am trying to never hold anger or resentment towards my brother's wife. I guess, today and the next days to come, while pacing towards life, I am just more than prayerful for the better the silently cursing her... It sound bitter for me but I will admit I had done that before, but the feeling was more than worst.

Today, I am just surrendering everything to God...

The Unspoken Affection...

Heard the unuttered
Listen when the heart whispered
Pure feelings buried

There are too many deep emotions remain unspoken, who would say I am right? I am wandering around and I am inspired to craft this second Haiku of my life! Words somehow are not enough, that's why God just don't give us the ear, God give us the feeling and the affection to let us get the chance to hear what are unuttered by those people who are already part of our precious life.

My First Haiku!

Loss and frustration
Patience push me to go on
Success awaits home

Well, I thought of sharing you something new to me. This might not be new to you at all, I have enjoyed several haiku from my blogger friends, and this time I took some time to write one for you.

Just to give you some views, as I am also trying to read some information about this... Haiku is a short Japanese poetry, in an English haiku, it is written with 3 lines, with 5-7-5 syllables respectively.

Let Kindness Reveals the Truth...

Did you make a list of the real people you meet everyday? We meet them with different faces, but can your point out who wear masks? Who are genuine and who are not?

I must mentioned this that we cannot judge a person by our first impression, yet impression lasts! But how can we avoid judging people? In my case I do not want to judge as I don't want to be judge at all. I guess this humble poetry can help a bit, I hope so...

~*~
Look into my eyes
Look into my heart
Don't judge me outside

Listen to me by your ears
Listen me beyond my words
Understand me from the heart

Touch me by your hands
Feel my flaming emotions
Meet me through your soul

I live with imperfections
But I live with my true emotions
You got to know a real person
~*~

Life is too precious to waste every single moment for nothing. I know it's time to make a choice, we can only live life to the fullest when we know everyone of us are spending our time for worthwhile activities.

Sometimes our kindness are the one which can deceive and betray us! Sad? Yes! But let kindness melt those masks so that we can rejoice with the precious time left for us...

Why Your Mom Is So Special To You?

No gift to your mother can ever equal her gift to you - life (anonymous)

Did you ever thank God for giving us the most wonderful gift in our life? It is not the things we achieved… Without this person, we would never see how beautiful life is.

In the very first place, this story reflects mine, yet we might share the same. I am simply going to brag to you the qualities of my Mother making her so special to me as a son.

I would proudly say she is the best mother for me. Honestly, I would be out of words when I am going to try to describe why she is. Even I am on my own this time, but the memories that I had with her when I was a child were so vivid on me. She simply cares and loves me no other person can ever do, and that is for always.

I got the chance to be with her again last November 1st and 2nd when I went home, though I saw an older Mother, with several strands of white hair, but she is as strong as I knew her when I woke up every morning when I was on my grade school days, she was there alive and kicking for me with the table ready.

I love my Mom, I may not the best son, or any better, but I love my Mom and wish to see her happy. I wish to see her strong through the coming days, and I wish that she will have more and more years to be with me, with my brother and sisters, with her grandsons and granddaughters.

Though my family was striving to live in the midst of crisis, I know she and my Father shared happy moments together for having us. I and Mom, with my niece never miss the chance to visit my father's grave that time, and there, we brought him some flowers and candles. I wanted to thank him once again, for loving my mother until his last breath.

There might be unfulfilled dreams, but I got the strength to carry on at least one of them for my Mom, and I whispered to his grave that I wont leave her, I am just like her little son longing for her tender care and touch. I know Father was about to get away all his worries.

This day might not be the celebration for Mothers' Day, but if you are going to ask me, everyday is a special day for all mothers. This is a tribute to all mothers.

Can you tell me why your Mother is so special to you?

Customize Facebook Like Box With CSS, Tested To Work for YOU!

This trick is from one of my favorite blogs that taught many bloggers to make some nice tweaks to their blogpages! But somehow, this tutorial about Facebook Like Box seemed not working to me and for some people who have tried the trick, so I made some step to fix this problem!

In this simplified tutorial, you are not going to necessarily upload the css to your web hosting! I will give the direct link below with two choices, with the green font same as MBT or the red font like mine! Or, if you want more customization of the CSS, I recommend WEBFREEHOSTING.NET, and upload your FB CSS file there.

Here are the two direct links of the FB LIKE BOX CSS I uploaded to my WEBFREEHOSTING.NET account:

Red Font
http://testingforsb.atwebpages.com/fb.css

Green Font
http://testingforsb.atwebpages.com/fbgreen.css

One problem also, as I read some comments at the original tutorial, the like box won't appear, okay, I encountered that as well, so we will use another link of the FB Like Box Javascript to solve the problem:

<style>
#mbtlikebox{
color: #365899;
font: bold 11px arial;
background:#ECEEF5;
padding:3px !important;
margin:5px 0px!important;
border:1px solid #E1E4ED;
-moz-border-radius:3px;
-webkit-border-radius:3px;
width:290px;
}

#mbtlikebox:hover{
border:1px solid #6383C1;
}
</style>
<script type="text/javascript" src="https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">FB.init("");</script>
<fb:fan profile_id="REPLACE THIS WITH YOUR LIKE PAGE ID" stream="0" connections="10" width="350px" height="200px" header="0" logobar="0" css="REPLACE THIS WITH FB LIKE BOX CSS DIRECT LINK"></fb:fan>
<div id="mbtlikebox"><a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" style="text-decoration:none; color:#365899;" href="REPLACE WITH YOUR FB LIKE PAGE URL">Visit the Like Page»</a><div style="float:right"><a href='http://www.mybloggertricks.com/2011/07/custom-facebook-like-box-with-mouse.html' style="text-decoration:none; color:#365899;">Widgets »</a></div></div>

Now, simply open your Blogger account, ADD GADGET-HTML/JAVASCRIPT! Save, place that gadget from anywhere of your blog! Enjoy!

Oops, if you got some problem from the above codes, refer to the example below:

<style>
#mbtlikebox{
color: #365899;
font: bold 11px arial;
background:#ECEEF5;
padding:3px !important;
margin:5px 0px!important;
border:1px solid #E1E4ED;
-moz-border-radius:3px;
-webkit-border-radius:3px;
width:280px;
}

#mbtlikebox:hover{
border:1px solid #6383C1;
}
</style>
<script type="text/javascript" src="https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">FB.init("");</script>
<fb:fan profile_id="251311191548351" stream="0" connections="8" width="300px" height="200px" header="0" logobar="0" css="http://testingforsb.atwebpages.com/fb.css"></fb:fan>
<div id="mbtlikebox"><a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" style="text-decoration:none; color:#365899;" href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/SimplifiedBlogging/251311191548351">Visit SB on FB »</a><div style="float:right"><a href='http://www.mybloggertricks.com/2011/07/custom-facebook-like-box-with-mouse.html' style="text-decoration:none; color:#365899;">Widgets »</a></div></div>

As you can see, I am using 280 instead of 290, and 300 instead of 350, and 8 instead of 10... it depends with the width if your sidebar!
